Sharon Gaiter is currently racing from Whitehaven to Tynemouth in the Coast to Coast Ultra. She is using the 140 mile event to test the new Lone Peak 4’s and will write a review in the coming weeks. The race is 7km long with 400 metres of ascent, that’s 4.2 miles and 1300 feet in old money. Entry is £5 on the day only. The 2018 Cross Fell Race on Saturday 30th June is a new fell race for the FRA race calendar, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Race starts 11am, the route of 24Km with 560m of climb takes in the summit of Cross Fell the highest Pennine peak and source of the Tees, with stunning views over the Eden Valley of the Lake District and beyond into Scotland. The Cronkley Fell Race is on Sunday 24th June 2018. The route is 16.9km long (10 1/2 miles ish) with 535 metres of ascent. Registration is at Bowlees Visitor Centre, Bowlees, Newbiggin in Teesdale, County Durham DL12 0XF. Entry is £5 on the day only. The race starts at 11am.
