Blakey Blitz Fell Race 2018

The next race in the Dave Parry Winter Fell Race Series is the Blakey Blitz on Sunday 18th March 2018 organised by Esk Valley Fell Club. Registration is at the Lion Inn, Blackey Ridge, Nr Castleton, Kirbymoorside YO62 7LQ (Grid Ref NZ 678998 ). Entry is £5 on the day only and the race starts at 10.30am. Heartbeat Hobble 2018

The next race in the Dave Parry Winter Fell Race Series is a new event to the race calendar. Organised by Scarborough AC this race will take place on Sunday 25th February 11am start. The route is just under 7 miles long with 845 feet of ascent. Which makes it a C category fell race as there isn’t too much up and down. High Cup Nick Fell Race 24th February 2018

The High Cup Nick Fell Race is on Saturday 24th February 2018. The event now in it’s 12 year is organised by Morgan Donnelly, the 2012 British Fell Running Champion, and his Wife Lucy. This a traditional friendly race that starts and finishes in the village in Dufton in the Eden Valley. Competitors in this years Eskdale Eureka Fell Race made the headlines when competitors in the race came across a couple of pensioners in difficulty just upstream of Hob Hole. The couple who were out walking got into difficulty as they crossed the local beck, when the male of the pair sunk up to his waist in boggy ground made extra soft by the thawing snow and recent rain.. The next race in the Dave Parry Winter Fell Race Series is the Saltergate Gallows Fell Race on Sunday 5th Novemeber 2017, 10.30am. Entry is £5 and on the day only. Registration is at the village hall in Levisham nr Pickering, North Yorkshire. The route has had to be adjusted as there is a rally in the forestry on that day.
