Incline to Madness Race Report and Results. The latest round of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series. A beautiful summer’s night moving into Autumn cooling rapidly after 8.00pm with a strong easterly wind on the top moor. Presentation as usual was in the dark by torchlight. Guisborough Grunt Fell Race Results 2014

The Guisborough Grunt, the latest round of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series, was greated with cooler, dry good conditions only muddy in the shade and on the climb. The women’s event was a very close contest between Kay Neesam, Nicola Kent and Emma Bain. Inclined to Madness 2014

The next race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is Inclined to Madness on Wednesday 27th August 7.15 pm start. The start and registration is below Clay Bank Car Park just South of Stokesley, North Yorkshire (grid reference 579038). Entry is £6 on the night only. Click here to see the race route map.

Guisborough Grunt Fell Race 2014

The next race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is the Guisborough Grunt. The event is at 7.15pm on Wednesday 20th August. Registration is at Guisborough Rugby Club. The route is about 6 miles long with only one hill in it. Although be warned this is the hill that gives the event it’s name. Click here to see some pictures from last years event. See you there !

Gribdale Gallop 2014

The 2014 edition of the Gribdale Gallop takes place on Wednesday 6th August at 19:15. The race starts near Gribdale Car Park, near Great Ayton in the North York Moors. It is an AM category race, with a distance of 7.2miles with a climb of 1919ft. The minimum age to take part in this race is 18. You can enter on the day, for a fee of £6.00.

Cock and Beyond Fell Race Results

A beautiful evening greated the runners taking part in the Cock Howe and Beyond Fell Race. Which was the latest event in Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series. The running, warm with a gentle breeze on top. The train set off with 76 athletes in competition. Pete Wilkin led into the first part of the climb but was soon passed by Jim Bulman, Cameron Taylor and Charlie Stead.
