The weather just held off for a great night of fell running at the third counter in the Dave Parry/Northern Runner Summer Fell Race Series, Whorlton Run. 109 starters and finishers so well done everyone and £300 to playing fields funds, much appreciated by the playing field association who manage the site. Running the Guernsey Ultra

Running the Guernsey Ultra (21st May 2017) I have never been to Guernsey, so my wife and I decided to go on holiday with me running in the race, what a great excuse! Guernsey for those who don’t know is the second largest of the Channel Islands (the largest being Jersey) situated just off the Normandy coast of France.  It’s basically 36 miles all around its coastal paths, so this Ultra is once around the island more or less 36 miles. The first race in the Dave Parry Summer Fell Race Series 2017 is the Fox and Hounds on Wednesday 17th May 2017. This is the 30th Anniversary of the classic race and it is being organised by Loftus and Whitby AC. The next race in the Dave Parry Winter Fell Race Series is Glaisdale Rigg on Sunday 5th March 10.30am. The race is organised by Loftus and Whitby AC. Entry is £5 on the day only. High Cup Nick Fell Race 2017

The High Cup Nick Fell Race is on Saturday 25th February 2017. This is a race organised by Morgan Donnelly, the 2012 British Fell Running Champion, and his Wife Lucy. This a traditional friendly race that starts and finishes in the village of Dufton in the Eden Valley.
