Northern Runner/Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series Revision

Due to the organiser of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series being ill the series has been reduced to the following events: Castleton Show Race 12/09/15 6 mile road run Viking Chase 4 Peaks 20/09/15 8 mile trail/fell run Roseberry Topping 30/09/15 1.5 mile fall race (to be confirmed) Levisham Limping 4/10/15 6 mile fell/trail run Details of each race will be posted as usual. Cock Howe and Beyond Fell Race 2015

The next race in the Northern Runner/Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is Cock Howe and Beyond on Wednesday 22nd July, 7.15pm start. Registration/start/finish is in the car park on the South side of Chop Gate which is on the B1257, South of Great Broughton, Near Stokesley North Yorkshire. Guisborough Grunt Fell Race Results 2015

The latest round of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series was Guisborough Grunt which took place on a sultry, warm, humid evening. We expected more rain but we didn’t get it! We managed to do the full route despite the threat of wood closure. After the first climb Kay Neesam was a clear leader in the women’s race with Alison Matthews holding second in her local debut. The next race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is Guisborough Grunt on Wednesday 8th July, 7.15pm start. Registration is at Guisborough Rugby Club, Guisborough, North Yorkshire. Entry is £6 and on the day only. The event is 6 miles long with 1350 feet of ascent.
