A 10k out and back road run along the beautiful Great Langdale Valley. The Great Langdale Christmas Pudding Run has become the peoples choice 10K winter run. With over 1000 entrants in 2009, the race appeals to the ‘fun’ runners. Sunday 7th December sees the 21st running of the Angus Tait Memorial Hexamshire Hobble. 16.8km with 379 metres of ascent. Not the toughest fell race around but, the winter weather usually makes up for the loss of ascent. It is often quite windy and there is still time for a bit of snow. Commondale Beacon Fell Race Results 2014 The latest race in the Northern Runner/Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series saw another day which was damp and boggy/muddy. The next event in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series is the Commondale Beacon on Sunday 16th November 10.30am start. Registration is at the Cleveland Inn, Commondale, Near Guisborough, North Yorkshire. Entry is £7 on the day only. The event is 13km long with over 300 metres of ascent.
