Ultra Cavalls del Vent 84K – 2012

For those who follow the Sky Running Ultra Series the last event was the Ultra Cavalls del Vent in Spain. This race is very tough it is not only 84km in length but, has 12,180 metres of ascent mostly on rough mountain tracks. This years event was made tougher by the rain and lack of visibility. Click here to read Anton Krupicka blog about the event which he finished second in. Krupicka is the figure head for New Balances minimalist running shoes. His favourite shoe the MT110AK which he mentions in his blog is stocked in Northern Runner and is the ideal minimalsit running shoe for mixed terrain. It offers good grip for mixed terrain, a rock plate to reduce the impact of sharp rocks and has a low heel to forefoot differential. Add to this a wide forefoot and great flexibility and you have a great minimalist shoe.
