Ossy Oiks Fell Race 2015

The next race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is Ossy Oiks on Wednesday 10th June. The Event is an AS category which means it is short and steep in places. 8.5km long with 525 metres of ascent. The start/finish/registration is outside the Church, nr Arncliffe Wood, Ingleby Cross, Near Stokesley, N. Yorks Grid Reference 453003. Entry is £6 on the night only and the fun starts at 7.15pm.

Ossy Oiks is a great taster fell race. The climb is in two sections not too steep and mainly on tracks. The final descent is steep and through the woods but, there are trees to hand onto ! Most of the course is suitable for trail shoes although I would prefer a fell shoe for the final descent. Click here to see a map of the course.
