North East Running Race Results & News Levisham Limping Fell Race Report and Results 2014 By northernrunner / December 2nd, 2014 / There are currently 0 comments A day of mud sweat and tears! It was certainly the muddiest I have ever seen in a muddy area. This of course sapped the strength of the runners making them work much harder than normal. In the men’s race Matthew Hayes and Chris Roberts were head to head most of the way with a tiring Ian McGrath just behind for 2/3rds of the run. Matthew eventually forged ahead in the closing stages to lead an excellent East Hull performance. Nigel Sissons and Barry Atkinson had their own battle and came through to 3rd and 4th respectively. In the team event Chris Roberts had his revenge as York Knavesmire won the team on count back David Leese being ahead of Gary Forrester as the final counters. In the women’s race it was Kay Neesam the current winter and summer series champion who produced another excellent performance ahead of Nik Vogan and the improving Caroline Graham. Caroline had the joy of leading her team North York Moors to team victory thanks to support from Georgie Hill & Sharon Gayter.
