The next race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series is the Glaisdale Rigg Fell Race on Sunday 3rd March. The race starts at 10.30 am from outside the Arnecliffe Arms in Glaisdale on the North Yorkshire Moors. The 8 mile route has about 1500 feet of ascent and goes over a variety of terrain. This includes an initial climb on a tarmac road, some hopping through the heather, a bridleway over the moor, and some muddy tracks over fields and through woodland. It’s a great run which finishes with a good fun prize presentation in a nice cosy pub. Click here for a map of the course.
