The next round of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is the Fox and Hounds on Wednesday 8th June 2016. This will be run over the original route and is organised by Loftus and Whitby AC. The route is 9 miles long with about 1500 feet of ascent. The terrain varies from large hard packed tracks to muddy single track moorland paths. The route could be best described as tough moorland running. For a map of the race route click here.

The start/finish and registration is at the Fox and Hounds Inn, Ainthorpe, Danby, Nr Guisborough on the North Yorkshire Moors. (Grid Ref NZ 704078). The race starts at 7pm and entry is £6 on the night only.

There will also be races for U10/U12/U14/U16 and U18.

Due to the nature of the course fell shoes or well studded trail shoes would be the best footwear.
