Derwent Reservoir Trail Races 2018

In 2017, Run Peterlee hosted the inaugural 7 mile trail race around the beautiful Derwent Reservoir. It was a great success and so on May 20, 2018, we’ll be doing it all over again. There’ll be a 5k event (starting at 9:00) and a 7 mile event (starting at 10:00).

Derwent Reservoir is on the border between county Durham and Northumberland, so 7 mile runners will run half of it in Durham and half in Northumberland. It’s 6 miles from Consett and takes less than half an hour from Durham.

This year we will be starting and finishing on the impressive dam wall.

Parking will be at the Visitor Centre and Shop (see map attached), which now has increased parking, a kids pay area, toilets and cafe.
