Carlton Challenge Fell Race 2015

The first race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Series is the Carlton Challenge on Wednesday 6th May starting from the top of Carlton Bank at 7.15pm. The race is 8km long with 360 metres of ascent. Trail shoes would be fine for this event although the final descent is over rough moorland so if you twist your ankle easily on this sort of terrain a fell shoe maybe a better option. Entry is £6 on the day only and registration is on Carlton Bank, above the old cafe site, Near Stokesley,North Yorkshire (Grid reference 522031). There are also junior races for U10/U12/U14/U16. The route and distance is appropriate to age. Click here to see a map of the senior race route.
