Captain Cooks Fell Race on New Years Day

This years Captain Cooks Fell Race will as usual take place on New Years Day. The race starts at 11am from outside the Royal Oak on the High Green in Great Ayton, North Yorkshire. Click here to see a map of the course which is about 5 miles long with 800 feet of ascent. Underfoot conditions are a mix of tarmac, bridleway/farm track and fields. The latter will be very muddy. Registration and entry is on the day only in the Royal Oak. All the money taken will go to local charities (for details see the Esk Valley website after the event). See you there !
