Inov8 MudTalon Precision Fit Mens Trail Running Shoes Black

Introducing the MUDTALON, the ultimate trail and fell running shoe designed for daily training across any distance and specifically engineered for soft, muddy terrains. Whether you're navigating the undulating hills, towering mountains, or challenging mudscapes, the MUDTALON is your reliable partner, offering unmatched grip on every surface encountered. Featuring talon-like 8mm studs that effortlessly penetrate soft mud and securely latch onto wet rocks, this shoe ensures dependable traction in all conditions. The studs' unique goat's hoof shape allows for rapid mud release with each stride, maintaining your speed and control while keeping the shoe light.

The MUDTALON sets itself apart with the introduction of POWERFLOW PRO, our lightest midsole foam to date, delivering enhanced comfort and bounce, particularly over long distances. This design offers a slightly thicker midsole than its predecessor, the MUDTALON SPEED, without sacrificing the ability to feel and interact with the terrain beneath your feet—an essential feature for navigating the unpredictable landscapes of hills and mountains. Moreover, the shoe's anatomical shape is designed to snugly fit the natural contours of your foot, ensuring a secure and comfortable experience, while the availability of Precision Fit and Wide Fit caters to different foot widths and preferences for an optimized and personalized fit.

Durability meets design in the MUDTALON's construction, featuring a tough ballistic nylon upper that stands up to the abrasive challenges of vegetation and rocks. The inclusion of a MET-CRADLE secures the heel for a locked-in feel, enhanced by thick overlay strips that tighten with your laces for a snug midfoot to heel connection. Additionally, a flexible ROCK-PLATE underfoot provides indispensable protection against sharp objects and obstacles. Whether you’re embarking on a casual jog or a rigorous trail run, the MUDTALON offers the perfect blend of grip, cushioning, and protection, making it the ideal choice for training on soft and muddy ground.

STICKYGRIP™ OUTSOLE

8mm STICKYGRIP™ rubber, talon-like studs deliver exceptional traction on soft mud, while also clinging onto wet rocks or harder trails. Underfoot a flexible META-SHANK rock plate protects you from sharp rocks, without compromising on ground-feel.

POWERFLOW PRO MIDSOLE

With more cushioning than its cousin, the MUDTALON SPEED, the MUDTALON is a great choice for everyday training or longer races. The super-lightweight POWERFLOW PRO foam midsole provides high levels of cushioning, while still allowing the ground-feel needed for running over uneven, technical terrain.

BALLISTIC NYLON UPPER

Tough ballistic nylon provides excellent protection against wear and snags. At the same time a gusseted tongue stops debris entering the shoe and a toe guard protects against trail hazards. Thick MET-CRADLE strips connect the midfoot to the heel, creating a locked-in feel when you tighten the laces.

BOOMERANG FOOTBED

Preserve your energy on long runs with the BOOMERANG Footbed. The insoles feature hundreds of foam beads that compress and spring back for 40% energy return during your stride. Perfect for longer runs where maximising every bit of energy counts.

CHOICE OF FITS

The MUDTALON hugs the natural contours of your foot for an anatomical fit. Available in Precision and Wide fits. Go Precision Fit if you have narrow feet or like a closer feel. Go Wide Fit if you have wide feet or would like more room when running longer distances.
