The Mount to Coast M1 is a high-cushion trail shoe built for long days, rough terrain and ultra-distance racing. Designed to stay stable and comfortable as the miles build, it combines a resilient midsole, durable upper and full-coverage Vibram outsole to give you a smooth, dependable ride in the mountains.

At the heart of the M1 is Mount to Coast’s next-generation JETCELL midsole. Made using a supercritical foaming process and automotive-grade materials, JETCELL is engineered to deliver the brand’s highest level of energy return while maintaining its performance over very long distances. It also offers twice the structural strength of standard PEBA foams, helping it resist tearing and breakdown when subjected to repeated impacts and demanding terrain.

The upper uses TPEE-blended yarns to strike a balance between strength, support and breathability. It dries quickly and is designed to cope with the extra punishment that comes with long-distance trail racing. Mount to Coast’s TUNEDFIT Dual Lacing System allows the forefoot and midfoot to be adjusted independently, which is particularly useful as your feet swell or change shape during an ultra. A reinforced toe box adds extra protection when tired legs and technical trails start making accurate foot placement more difficult.

Underfoot, the M1 uses three Vibram technologies. Full-coverage Megagrip rubber provides reliable traction across wet, dry and unpredictable surfaces, while Litebase construction reduces outsole weight by around 30% without sacrificing performance. Vibram Traction Lug technology adds small surface features to the lugs to increase traction by up to 25%, with 4mm lugs giving the shoe enough bite for a wide range of mountain terrain.

Despite the amount of cushioning and protection on offer, the M1 weighs 275g. Its 38mm heel and 34mm forefoot create a 4mm drop, giving it a relatively low, stable platform while still providing plenty of cushioning for big-mile days.

The DPD Next Day delivery postage option guarantees next working day delivery as long as the order is placed before midday Monday to Friday. We cannot dispatch orders on weekends so orders received after midday on a Friday would leave in Mondays post for delivery on Tuesday. There is also no guaranteed next day delivery on weekends so Next Day Delivery orders dispatched on a Friday may not be delivered until Monday. In most cases a 1st Class post order shipped on Friday will be delivered on a Saturday. The delivery must be signed for on receipt. Items shipped using this delivery method are easier to trace if they go missing in the post.

Returns

(Items bought as Christmas presents that where purchased online over 30 days before Christmas can be returned for an exchange up to the 31st January), provided they are returned unused and with the original tags intact.

You have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased through our website with or without reason, under the distance selling regulations for refund. If you are unhappy with your purchase items can be returned in an unused re-sellable condition for replacement or refund within 30 days.

We advise customers to try the shoes in the house for approximately one or two hours to make sure you are happy with the fit.  If you are not happy with the fit when trying the shoes indoors, please return them to us and we will either refund or exchange.  We are unable to accept returned shoes that have been worn outdoors, unless there is a manufacturing fault or defect with the shoe.

Faulty returns must be sent back for inspection before a refund will be issued. If the product is found to have a defect you will be offered a refund or exchange (if available). Refunds will ONLY be given for damaged goods where no replacement product can be supplied. Damage due to normal wear and tear, misuse, alteration to the product, or negligence is not covered under our returns policy and refund will not be given.

Returned goods must be adequately sealed in original packaging. On returning items the original packaging should also be returned undamaged and as received. This must be wrapped in an extra outer layer. Failure to do so could result in only a partial refund being issued.

SUSPECTED FAULTY SHOES SHOULD BE RETURNED CLEAN AND DRY. Shoes that come back to us in a state unfit for our staff to inspect will be kept at our premises until you can arrange for them to be picked up or until you have paid the postage to return the item to you. Please note this is a health and safety issue we take seriously.

Please ensure you ask for a certificate of posting as proof you have sent the package. You are responsible for the item until we receive it therefore we suggest you return the parcel using Royal Mail Recorded (Signed For) Delivery or similar. We will not refund the postage paid by the customer on unwanted returned items or sizing issues (so please contact us regarding sizing prior to ordering if you are unsure).

Goods purchased online cannot be returned to the shop.
