The Altra Vanish Carbon 3 is a lightweight road racing shoe developed for faster training sessions and race-day use. The engineered mesh upper provides a breathable, close-fitting construction, with perforated sections helping air circulate around the foot during higher-intensity running. Altra's Racing FootShape Fit is designed to hold the heel and midfoot securely while allowing more space through the forefoot for natural toe movement. A seamless construction, traditional lacing system and revised eyestay design help maintain a consistent fit without adding unnecessary bulk.

Underfoot, the Vanish Carbon 3 uses a two-piece supercritical PEBA midsole, developed to provide a lightweight combination of cushioning, responsiveness and energy return. A split-toe carbon plate sits between the two foam layers, adding stiffness through the platform while allowing the big toe to remain more independently engaged during toe-off. The shoe also uses a revised rocker geometry intended to create a smoother transition through the stride and support forward movement at faster paces. With a 40mm stack height and 4mm drop, the overall platform is designed around a cushioned but performance-focused ride.

The outsole uses durable rubber positioned to provide traction and protection across road surfaces while retaining the flexibility required for faster running. The combination of low overall weight, responsive PEBA cushioning and a carbon plate places the Vanish Carbon 3 firmly within Altra's road racing range. At approximately 220g, it is intended for runners looking for a lightweight, plated shoe for road races, tempo sessions and other faster-paced running.

The DPD Next Day delivery postage option guarantees next working day delivery as long as the order is placed before midday Monday to Friday. We cannot dispatch orders on weekends so orders received after midday on a Friday would leave in Mondays post for delivery on Tuesday. There is also no guaranteed next day delivery on weekends so Next Day Delivery orders dispatched on a Friday may not be delivered until Monday. In most cases a 1st Class post order shipped on Friday will be delivered on a Saturday. The delivery must be signed for on receipt. Items shipped using this delivery method are easier to trace if they go missing in the post.

Returns

(Items bought as Christmas presents that where purchased online over 30 days before Christmas can be returned for an exchange up to the 31st January), provided they are returned unused and with the original tags intact.

You have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased through our website with or without reason, under the distance selling regulations for refund. If you are unhappy with your purchase items can be returned in an unused re-sellable condition for replacement or refund within 30 days.

We advise customers to try the shoes in the house for approximately one or two hours to make sure you are happy with the fit.  If you are not happy with the fit when trying the shoes indoors, please return them to us and we will either refund or exchange.  We are unable to accept returned shoes that have been worn outdoors, unless there is a manufacturing fault or defect with the shoe.

Faulty returns must be sent back for inspection before a refund will be issued. If the product is found to have a defect you will be offered a refund or exchange (if available). Refunds will ONLY be given for damaged goods where no replacement product can be supplied. Damage due to normal wear and tear, misuse, alteration to the product, or negligence is not covered under our returns policy and refund will not be given.

Returned goods must be adequately sealed in original packaging. On returning items the original packaging should also be returned undamaged and as received. This must be wrapped in an extra outer layer. Failure to do so could result in only a partial refund being issued.

SUSPECTED FAULTY SHOES SHOULD BE RETURNED CLEAN AND DRY. Shoes that come back to us in a state unfit for our staff to inspect will be kept at our premises until you can arrange for them to be picked up or until you have paid the postage to return the item to you. Please note this is a health and safety issue we take seriously.

Please ensure you ask for a certificate of posting as proof you have sent the package. You are responsible for the item until we receive it therefore we suggest you return the parcel using Royal Mail Recorded (Signed For) Delivery or similar. We will not refund the postage paid by the customer on unwanted returned items or sizing issues (so please contact us regarding sizing prior to ordering if you are unsure).

Goods purchased online cannot be returned to the shop.

Our card payment system uses the latest security and you can check out with PayPal.

We will not sell, trade or rent your details to any third parties.
