The Brooks Hyperion Max 4 for men is made for runners who want to train fast while keeping their legs protected. Designed for steady miles, tempo runs and longer threshold efforts, it combines a high-stack midsole with a responsive, propulsive feel. It offers the cushioning needed for demanding marathon training blocks, while still feeling lively enough when the pace increases.

The fit has taken a real step forward. The new engineered mesh upper feels softer, lower in volume and more secure than the previous version, wrapping the foot more effectively without feeling restrictive. A firm heel counter, plush internal padding and a snug cuff hold the rear of the foot comfortably in place, while the thin tongue has enough central padding to protect from lace pressure. The overall fit feels comfortable enough for longer training runs but close enough for faster sessions.

The midsole uses Brooks’ DNA Gold foam on top for softness and rebound, with a nylon propulsion plate beneath it and DNA Flash v2 foam at the base for added stability. This gives the Hyperion Max 4 a cushioned but controlled ride. There is some compression on landing, followed by a lively bounce, but the shoe never feels overly soft or unstable. The rocker geometry helps the foot roll quickly through the gait cycle, making it easier to maintain rhythm, cadence and forward momentum.

The Hyperion Max 4 performs best when running at a steady-to-fast pace. It feels smooth and efficient on flat roads, positive through toe-off and supportive enough for longer sessions where you want to reduce impact fatigue. It is less suited to short, sharp reps where a lower, more aggressive shoe may feel quicker, but for long tempos, pickups and controlled faster running, it offers an excellent blend of comfort, protection and speed.

The DPD Next Day delivery postage option guarantees next working day delivery as long as the order is placed before midday Monday to Friday. We cannot dispatch orders on weekends so orders received after midday on a Friday would leave in Mondays post for delivery on Tuesday. There is also no guaranteed next day delivery on weekends so Next Day Delivery orders dispatched on a Friday may not be delivered until Monday. In most cases a 1st Class post order shipped on Friday will be delivered on a Saturday. The delivery must be signed for on receipt. Items shipped using this delivery method are easier to trace if they go missing in the post.

Returns

(Items bought as Christmas presents that where purchased online over 30 days before Christmas can be returned for an exchange up to the 31st January), provided they are returned unused and with the original tags intact.

You have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased through our website with or without reason, under the distance selling regulations for refund. If you are unhappy with your purchase items can be returned in an unused re-sellable condition for replacement or refund within 30 days.

We advise customers to try the shoes in the house for approximately one or two hours to make sure you are happy with the fit.  If you are not happy with the fit when trying the shoes indoors, please return them to us and we will either refund or exchange.  We are unable to accept returned shoes that have been worn outdoors, unless there is a manufacturing fault or defect with the shoe.

Faulty returns must be sent back for inspection before a refund will be issued. If the product is found to have a defect you will be offered a refund or exchange (if available). Refunds will ONLY be given for damaged goods where no replacement product can be supplied. Damage due to normal wear and tear, misuse, alteration to the product, or negligence is not covered under our returns policy and refund will not be given.

Returned goods must be adequately sealed in original packaging. On returning items the original packaging should also be returned undamaged and as received. This must be wrapped in an extra outer layer. Failure to do so could result in only a partial refund being issued.

SUSPECTED FAULTY SHOES SHOULD BE RETURNED CLEAN AND DRY. Shoes that come back to us in a state unfit for our staff to inspect will be kept at our premises until you can arrange for them to be picked up or until you have paid the postage to return the item to you. Please note this is a health and safety issue we take seriously.

Please ensure you ask for a certificate of posting as proof you have sent the package. You are responsible for the item until we receive it therefore we suggest you return the parcel using Royal Mail Recorded (Signed For) Delivery or similar. We will not refund the postage paid by the customer on unwanted returned items or sizing issues (so please contact us regarding sizing prior to ordering if you are unsure).

Goods purchased online cannot be returned to the shop.
