The women’s Brooks Glycerin 23 is built for runners seeking a cushioned, dependable road shoe that remains comfortable over long distances (available in both neutral and support (GTS) options). With slight changes to the previous edition, the Glycerin 23 midsole retains the DNA Loft v3 foam but it has been tuned for a slightly softer, bouncier ride. An additional 2mm of forefoot foam lowers the heel-to-toe drop to 8mm, creating stack heights of 38mm in the heel and 30mm in the forefoot. The result is a smooth, bouncy ride with more flexibility than earlier models. 

You can expect a high-comfort step-in feel from all Brooks shoes, but the Glycerin 23 elevates this, thanks to the new triple-jacquard engineered air-mesh upper. The upper’s structure and thickness vary across zones depending on their function, ensuring a secure hold on the midsole while remaining light and breathable. The tongue has a smooth texture and ample padding to maintain the Glycerin 23’s luxurious feel. The heel cup is made from thermoplastic to enhance stability by preventing inward or outward rolling on impact, complemented by the well-padded heel collar to provide a snug fit. A substantial heel tab makes the shoe easier to pull on.

The compression on landing is greater than typical for Brooks but without feeling mushy, the ride feels cushioned and lively—ideal for steady-paced training, recovery days or easy miles on tired legs. The flexible midfoot aids an easy landing, with the deeper midfoot grooves helping the feet flex and function more naturally, which brings back some ground-connection feel despite the high stack. The heel section also features deeper grooves to absorb impact more effectively and support a smoother transition.  The wider base ensures smooth transitions from heel to toe, adding stability to balance the softer and more flexible midsole without feeling overly bulky. Brooks’ RoadTack rubber used on the outsole provides dependable traction in both wet and dry conditions and is durable enough for daily miles.

The DPD Next Day delivery postage option guarantees next working day delivery as long as the order is placed before midday Monday to Friday. We cannot dispatch orders on weekends so orders received after midday on a Friday would leave in Mondays post for delivery on Tuesday. There is also no guaranteed next day delivery on weekends so Next Day Delivery orders dispatched on a Friday may not be delivered until Monday. In most cases a 1st Class post order shipped on Friday will be delivered on a Saturday. The delivery must be signed for on receipt. Items shipped using this delivery method are easier to trace if they go missing in the post.

Returns

(Items bought as Christmas presents that where purchased online over 30 days before Christmas can be returned for an exchange up to the 31st January), provided they are returned unused and with the original tags intact.

You have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased through our website with or without reason, under the distance selling regulations for refund. If you are unhappy with your purchase items can be returned in an unused re-sellable condition for replacement or refund within 30 days.

We advise customers to try the shoes in the house for approximately one or two hours to make sure you are happy with the fit.  If you are not happy with the fit when trying the shoes indoors, please return them to us and we will either refund or exchange.  We are unable to accept returned shoes that have been worn outdoors, unless there is a manufacturing fault or defect with the shoe.

Faulty returns must be sent back for inspection before a refund will be issued. If the product is found to have a defect you will be offered a refund or exchange (if available). Refunds will ONLY be given for damaged goods where no replacement product can be supplied. Damage due to normal wear and tear, misuse, alteration to the product, or negligence is not covered under our returns policy and refund will not be given.

Returned goods must be adequately sealed in original packaging. On returning items the original packaging should also be returned undamaged and as received. This must be wrapped in an extra outer layer. Failure to do so could result in only a partial refund being issued.

SUSPECTED FAULTY SHOES SHOULD BE RETURNED CLEAN AND DRY. Shoes that come back to us in a state unfit for our staff to inspect will be kept at our premises until you can arrange for them to be picked up or until you have paid the postage to return the item to you. Please note this is a health and safety issue we take seriously.

Please ensure you ask for a certificate of posting as proof you have sent the package. You are responsible for the item until we receive it therefore we suggest you return the parcel using Royal Mail Recorded (Signed For) Delivery or similar. We will not refund the postage paid by the customer on unwanted returned items or sizing issues (so please contact us regarding sizing prior to ordering if you are unsure).

Goods purchased online cannot be returned to the shop.
