The women’s Brooks Ghost Amp brings together the comfort of an everyday training shoe and the lively feel of a faster road shoe. It is designed for runners who don’t necessarily want separate shoes for easy miles, tempo sessions and faster training. At an easy pace, the Ghost Amp feels cushioned and controlled rather than constantly pushing you forwards. Increase the effort and the character of the shoe changes, with more bounce and rebound from the midsole helping you turn your legs over and run faster.

Brooks uses its DNA Hype midsole foam in the Ghost Amp, blending PEBA and EVA to provide energy return while retaining the durability needed from a regular training shoe. The nitrogen-infused construction gives the midsole a responsive feel without making it excessively soft. As more force goes through the shoe, the bounce becomes increasingly noticeable. A firmer co-moulded PEBA/EVA section through the forefoot has a curved shape that adds toe spring, helping create a quick, snappy transition when running at a higher pace.

Rather than using a plate or stiff rocker geometry to create propulsion, the Ghost Amp allows the foot to control the gait cycle. This makes the shoe particularly versatile. You can jog comfortably without feeling as though the shoe wants you to speed up, then use the same shoe for quicker road sessions or short intervals. The 6mm heel-to-forefoot drop also lends itself to a light, natural feel underfoot, while the relatively low weight keeps the Ghost Amp feeling agile as the pace increases.

Comfort hasn’t been sacrificed to achieve that faster feel. The double jacquard mesh upper is soft and breathable, with generous padding around the tongue, heel and cuff. A firm heel cup adds support, while stretchy mesh on either side of the tongue holds it securely over the top of the foot for a snug midfoot fit. There is a little more volume through the toe box than in some Brooks models, giving the toes space without losing the secure feel through the heel and midfoot.

The DPD Next Day delivery postage option guarantees next working day delivery as long as the order is placed before midday Monday to Friday. We cannot dispatch orders on weekends so orders received after midday on a Friday would leave in Mondays post for delivery on Tuesday. There is also no guaranteed next day delivery on weekends so Next Day Delivery orders dispatched on a Friday may not be delivered until Monday. In most cases a 1st Class post order shipped on Friday will be delivered on a Saturday. The delivery must be signed for on receipt. Items shipped using this delivery method are easier to trace if they go missing in the post.

Returns

(Items bought as Christmas presents that where purchased online over 30 days before Christmas can be returned for an exchange up to the 31st January), provided they are returned unused and with the original tags intact.

You have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased through our website with or without reason, under the distance selling regulations for refund. If you are unhappy with your purchase items can be returned in an unused re-sellable condition for replacement or refund within 30 days.

We advise customers to try the shoes in the house for approximately one or two hours to make sure you are happy with the fit.  If you are not happy with the fit when trying the shoes indoors, please return them to us and we will either refund or exchange.  We are unable to accept returned shoes that have been worn outdoors, unless there is a manufacturing fault or defect with the shoe.

Faulty returns must be sent back for inspection before a refund will be issued. If the product is found to have a defect you will be offered a refund or exchange (if available). Refunds will ONLY be given for damaged goods where no replacement product can be supplied. Damage due to normal wear and tear, misuse, alteration to the product, or negligence is not covered under our returns policy and refund will not be given.

Returned goods must be adequately sealed in original packaging. On returning items the original packaging should also be returned undamaged and as received. This must be wrapped in an extra outer layer. Failure to do so could result in only a partial refund being issued.

SUSPECTED FAULTY SHOES SHOULD BE RETURNED CLEAN AND DRY. Shoes that come back to us in a state unfit for our staff to inspect will be kept at our premises until you can arrange for them to be picked up or until you have paid the postage to return the item to you. Please note this is a health and safety issue we take seriously.

Please ensure you ask for a certificate of posting as proof you have sent the package. You are responsible for the item until we receive it therefore we suggest you return the parcel using Royal Mail Recorded (Signed For) Delivery or similar. We will not refund the postage paid by the customer on unwanted returned items or sizing issues (so please contact us regarding sizing prior to ordering if you are unsure).

Goods purchased online cannot be returned to the shop.
