The next race in the Northern Runner/Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is Cock Howe and Beyond on Wednesday 22nd July, 7.15pm start. Registration/start/finish is in the car park on the South side of Chop Gate which is on the B1257, South of Great Broughton, Near Stokesley North Yorkshire. The latest round of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series was Guisborough Grunt which took place on a sultry, warm, humid evening. We expected more rain but we didn’t get it! We managed to do the full route despite the threat of wood closure. After the first climb Kay Neesam was a clear leader in the women’s race with Alison Matthews holding second in her local debut.
