Levisham Saltergate Fell Race 2014

The first race in the Northern Runner / Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series is Saltergate Levisham on Sunday 5th October 10.30am start. The race is 17km long with 400 metres of ascent. Registration is at the Village Hall in Levisham, Nr Pickering North Yorkshire. Entry is £7 and on the day only. Click here for a map of the route. The underfoot conditions will be suitable for trail shoes unless it rains a lot in the next week.

Help Drew Graham Recover From His Accident

Many of our customers will remember being served by Drew Graham during his time working at Northern Runner while he was on holiday from Adam State. Drew was a Gosforth Harrier who traveled to America to see how fast he could get. In his final season of track racing he managed to run 4 minutes dead for the mile. Viking Chase 4 Peaks Challenge 2014 Results

A grey start to this fund raiser for CMR. In the first climb up to the glider station Kay Neesam got away in the women’s field to lead by almost a minute at the next climb. In the men’s event there was a group of five at the trig near the glider station. Castleton Show Run Northern Runner/Esk Valley Summer Series 2014 A beautiful summer afternoon saw us into the penultimate fixture in the NEHRA. Summer Series. The result is abridged as it is open to Summer Series runners & locals only. Viking Chase 4 Peaks Challenge 2014

The final race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is the Viking Chase 4 Peaks which takes place on Sunday 21st September. The event is organised by the Cleveland Mountain Rescue and all proceeds go to them. The route is just short of 8 miles and starts at the Lordstones Cafe, Carlton Bank, Carlton in Cleveland, North Yorkshire TS9 7JH (grid ref 524030). Castleton Show Race 2014

The next race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series is Castleton Show Race on Saturday 13th September. This is about 10km on the road but, don’t be fooled into thinking it won’t be as hilly as other races in the series. There are junior races for all age groups as well as the senior race. Roseberry Topping Fell Race results 2014

The latest round of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Summer Fell Race Series was a balmy autumnal evening. There was a good mix of both Juniors and Seniors for the 61st running of The Roseberry Topping Races.
