The latest round of the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series was the Eskdale Eureka on the 8th December.For the time of year it was a mild day with a fairly strong head wind for the first half of the race.Rain threatened but did not materialise. The next race in the Northern Runner/ Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series is Eskdale Eureka on Sunday 8th December 2013. The race starts at 10.30am from the car park at High Castleton. The race is 8.1 miles long with around 1200 feet of ascent (14.6km/740m ascent. Click here to see a map of the race route.
