If you fancy a nice trail run on Sunday then why not rock up to the Hamsterley Forest 10km Trail Run. The Hamsterley 10k trail run starts at 10.30am on Sunday 15th July 2012. This is an undulating course over forest tracks through a very scenic area. If you would like to take part you can enter on the day of the event. Registration will start at 09.45am.

Wet conditions on Cheviot reduced the Classic 20 mile Fell Race to a 15 mile course under the advice of the Mountain Rescue. This years race included such notable runners as Carl Bell of Howgill Harriers who was last years sensation of the fell running world having come from a football background. Another very pleasant evening with a muggy feel at 20 degrees C. and overcast. The ground was wet from heavy showers in the preceeding weeks. As a first running of this event but with a course based on a race in the 1980’s the turn out was excellent.
