Captain Cooks Fell Race New Years Day

This years Captain Cooks Fell Race will take place on Sunday 1st January. The start is at 11am and registration is in the Royal Oak in the centre of the Great Ayton. Guisborough Woods Race Report 2011

A Mild day greated the runners at this years Guisborough Woods Race. The climb and descent was muddy but, the bits in between where dry and good running. Paul Lowe (NYM AC) was the days victor which was his first win as a veteran in this race. Meaning that Paul has won this race out right numerous times as a junior, senior and now a veteran. Guisborough Woods Race 2011

The next race in the Northern Runner/Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series is Guisborough Woods Race on Tuesday 27th December. Registration is at Guisborough Rugby Club and the race starts a short jog away at 11am. Click through to see a picture presentation of the route. Pier to Pier 2012

Entry forms are out for this years Pier to Pier. So, pop into Northern Runner to pick one up. For those runners that haven’t discovered this great race yet. This race goes from South Shields to Sunderland following the coast. A distance of approx 7.5 miles. This years race is on Sunday 20th May at 10am.
