The first race in the Northern Runner/Esk Valley Winter Fell Race Series is the Viking Chase on Sunday 25th September 2011. The fun starts at 10.40am from Lordstones Cafe, Carlton Bank Top, South of Carlton-in-Cleveland Nr Stocksley. The Asda Foundation West Cumbrian Run is an annual road running race in Memory of Police Officer Bill Barker. The 2011 event will take place on Sunday 20th November, two years to the day after the Cumbrian floods disaster. This years route will be 10Km in length, starting and finishing at Workington Cricket Ground. We will be offering two options to the runners this year to run a 10Km or 20Km over the same route.
