The Brooks Pure Project is Brooks designers answer to minimalist footwear. However, it’s not minimalist. It has Brooks revolutionary MoGo mid sole material combined with DNA cushioning to give it that soft but firm responsive feel that you only get from a Brooks shoe. If you fancy a bit of a contrast to last weeks Great North Run. Than why not try the Great Langdale 1/2 Marathon, or the Marathon if you fancy a real challenge. It will be a bit less busy than the Great North Run and unlike the downhill run to the sea that Tynesides 1/2 Marathon offers Great Langdale is a bit more undulating with a few rather big hills. The crowds will be less but, the scenery more than makes up for that. Click here for more details.

The heel to forefoot drop is a mere 4mm so it encourages a more natural mid-foot strike. However, unlike other shoes of this type it has a very cushioned feel. The midsole is a mix of DNA and MoGo. Which gives it that soft but, firm feel of MoGo added to the way DNA changes it’s feel with the force that is applied.... Read More
