Northern Runner @ Gribdale Gallop

The Gribdale Gallop went really well for the staff at Northern Runner last night. Drew Graham of Gosforth Harriers and Northern Runner won the event with Paul Butler of Loftus and Whitby finishing a close second. Both runners were not far off the course record of 47 minutes, which may have been on the cards if the a few wrong turns hadn’t been taken. Guisborough Grunt Plus Fell Race 2011

The next race in the Northern Runner/Eskdale Valley Summer Fell Race Series is the Guisborough Grunt Plus that is on Tuesday 9th August. The title of the race was chosen because of the steep grovely climb up Highcliffe Nab half way round the race. Click though to see a map of the course so you can have a reccy.

Gribdale Gallop Fell Race 2011

A fine drizzly mist descended on the top of the Moors just above Great Ayton in time for the latest round of the Northern Runner/ Eskdale Valley Summer Fell Race Series. Drew Graham (Gosforth and Northern Runner) managed to win the Gribdale Gallop for the second year in succession. Similar to last years race Drew managed to get a bit lost around Hanging Stone having been well in the lead. Gribdale Gallop Fell Race tonight

The latest round of the Northern Runner/Eskdale Valley Summer Fell Race Series is tonight from Gribdale Car Park above Great Ayton. The race is a 7.5 mile loop taking in Captain Cooks, Hanging Stone and Roseberry Topping. It should be a really nice run out if the weather hold out. See you there !!
