Another excellent night for running – warm with a slight breeze. A good turn out saw Paul Butler resume his attack on winning the Summer Series. Will Horsley however had different ideas and took it in turns with Paul to head the field. This year Cronkley Fell Race will take place on Sunday 26th June 11am start. The race takes place from the Strathmore Arms, Holwick, Near Middleton in Teesdale, County Durham (Grid Ref 909268). The event is run on an out and back course totalling 10.5 miles with 1752 feet of ascent. A good leg stretcher before the following weeks Chevy Chase.
Race 5 in the Northern Runner Eskdale Valley Summer Fell Race Series is the Whorlton Run from the Black Horse, Swainby, North Yorkshire. This race is 7 miles long with just over 1000 feet of ascent good underfoot conditions make this quite a quick race. It will take place on Tuesday 14th June 7.15pm start.
