Northern Runner Winter Fell race Series 2009/2010

The first race in the Northern Runner Winter Fell race Series is the Saltergate Gallows Fell Race on Sunday 18th October. Fruit Bowl Trail Race

There are still some places left in the Fruit Bowl Trail Race on Sunday 7th November, 10am start. The race runs round the bueatiful grounds of Gibside which is a National Trust property near Rowlands Gill just to the west of Newcastle. The course is one 6ish mile lap on good tracks, paths and estate roads. As it says o……n the entry forms the run is ‘not’ flat but, challenging. Brooks Shoe Party Saturday 25th September 2010

We are having a Brooks Day on Saturday 25th September. We will have a Brooks Tech Rep instore from 9.30am to advice on Brooks footwear and give free treadmill/video gait analysis. In addition to this you will get a free gift simply for trying on a Brooks Shoe and having a test run on the corridor. If you decide to purchase you will get an additional gift.

As the wind gets upto gail force outside it is a reminder that winter is nearly here. So, it’s time for the Northern Runner/Eskdale Valley Winter Fell race Series to start. The first race is the Viking Chase on Sunday 26th September 10.30am from the Lordstones Cafe on Carlton Bank (524030). Castleton Show Race

The final race in the Northern Runner/Eskdale Valley Summer Fell Race Series is a road race !! Although it has a few ups and downs and is a bueatiful route. The race starts in Castleton at 11.30am on Saturday11th September. There is plenty to do for all the family as the race is part of the village show.
