We have entry forms for several up-and-coming races in the North/North East, both on Road and Multi-Terrain; amongst these are the Isle of Axholme Half-marathon in North Lincolnshire, the Thirsk 10 in North Yorkshire, and in the same part of the world, though off-road, the Dalby Dash. Entry forms are available in-store or by post on receipt of a SAE.

Another excellent nights racing. At the start there was a large entry causing delay. The weather had settled down into a balmy if slightly overcast evening. In the women’s event we saw Katie Rawnsley produce another brilliant run and for the second race in a row set a new record. Pippa Archer ran hard but could not catch Katie. Burnsall Sports is on Saturday 21st August. This includes a 10 mile road race, the classic fell race as well as grass track bike racing. The classic is to do the tough up and down fell race (record is about 12 1/2 minutes) and then try your hand at the ‘undulating’ 10 mile road race. As usual the weather was good for this event. There was a near record entry for the race and Rob Pollard and Ronnie Sherwood completed their 13th and 12th appearances in the race respectively. In the men’s race a group of three managed an early break at Percy Rigg. This was the situation with a long stream of runners giving chase.
