Hardy Fell Runners Race Round Danby Thursday 19 February 2009
Competitors in Race 8 of the Northern Runner Winter Fell Race Series braved Ice and snow to battle round the Castleton-Danby Race. Gary Devine the 1990 British Fell Running Champion now over 40 won leading Pudsey and Bramley to the team victory. Erika Johnson (Swalesdale Road Runners) won the ladies race comfortabley.

Castleton- Danby is the 8th Race in the Northern Runner Winter Fell Race Series. The Race is 8 miles long with over 1,000 feet of ascent. Registration and prize giving is in the Eskdale Inn which does a good pint and Sunday Lunch. The Race starts at 10.30am entry on the day only.
