Phillip Sanderson, Northumberland Fell Runners, was in action again on Sunday at the latest round of the Northern Runner/Esk Valley Fell Race Series. After a storming run in the first English Championship Race of the season at Noonstone, Phil showed everyone a clean set of heels. After an initial tussle with Ian Wellock up the first climb the only problem for Phil was the strong blustery wind. Showing that his 19th place at Noonstone (4th over 40) was no fluke.

In the women’s race International Orienteer Pippa Archer nee Whitehouse showed that married life hasn’t slowed her down. Neither has moving club from Dorking to Durham. As she battled with the wind to win the ladies race.
