Morgan Donnelly (Borrowdale) stamped his authority on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Race early on. The ex Northumberland Fell Runner won by a convincing 4 minutes from Salfords John Brown and Pete Vale (Mercia). It was good to see local lad Garry Jones (Northumberland Fell Runners) finish in 8th place on his first attempt …at the Three Peaks Race.

The win was Morgan’s first and comes after a hard fought second place in the first round of the British Fell Running Championships in Northern Ireland two weeks ago.

The ladies race was won by Anna Lupton (Radcliffe AC) in a very respectable time of 3 hours 30 minutes.
