Billy and Morgan take on the Goretex Transalpine Run in Inov-8 Trailroc’s

The Goretex Transalpine Run is an 8 day race across the alps covering a marathon of mountainous terrain everyday. Countless summits and peaks and an amazing itinerary off the beaten paths on rocky tracks constitute one of the last true sporting challenges. Morgan Donnelly and Billy Burns will be Inov-8′s two man team taking on this challenging race the starts on the 1st September. Billy Burns of Salford Harriers has been Great Britain’s top finisher in World and European Mountain Running Championships but, now in his 40s Billy is up for a tougher more adventurous challenge. Morgan was British Fell Running Champion back in 2011 and will be known to many Northern Runner customers as he ran for Tynedale Harriers and Northumberland Fell Runner’s before moving to Dufton and loosing his green stripe to run for Borrowdale Fell Runners. Both runners will be running in the new Inov-8 Trailroc Shoes which have been developed especially for this type of trail running. Morgan will be particularly keen to prove these shoes are the best as he has been working with Inov-8 testing these shoes on the trails of the English Lake District.
